New month, new PSA

It has been a while since the last update, many things have happened. First thing first, I got the latest PSA and it was 98.68, which is a small increase from the last at 94.66. Not happy about it, I would have preferred to brag about having a PSA dropping 3 times straight, and even more happy if It could be below 90. But things did not work well for me the last few weeks leading up to the test, and my HRV level also dropped from an average of about 65 the previous month to about 61 in October.

I have also got the result of the MRI test done 2 weeks ago, and while i thought it was good news, it turned out not to be as positive as I thought. Still no sign of metastasis which is fantastic, but while I thought the lack of mentioning of the tumor in the left side was because it was gone, then it turned out the analyst did not distinguish between left and right, only looked at the prostate as a whole. It has increased in volume from 33.7 mL to 57.0 mL which is about 80% increase. Not good. Furthermore, then my increasingly difficulty peeing in the night is because the prostate has grown up and is bulging into the bladder. This means when I sleep then it shuts down the pipe, and only when I get vertical for a few minutes will gravity help me letting go of the water.

This news knocked me out of balance for a second, mostly because I hoped it was because of BPH and not tumor growth, which I considered more positive. But it also meant I had to focus not only on cancer, but also on BPH and it becomes complicated. But I have now concluded it must be the cancer that has grown, and while that is bad news, it also just means I got to continue the same focus as previous. If I can eradicate the cancer, then the prostate will return to normal, and because I now have a very tangible way to measure success, without the need of scans, then I am also happy. When water flows in the night, the prostate has shrunk.

Plan going forward is to be ready to surrender and use ADT if it goes totally wrong, but for now I will continue the protocols I have done for the past 2 months, but I will implement a stricter intermittent fasting. I will eat in a 6-hour window each day, giving me 18 hours of intermittent fasting. Depending how it goes, then I will combine it with 48 hours fasting too.

As for supplements, then I increase Lycopene to 600 mg from 300 mg a day, and I add 1 ml pumpkin seed oil to my smoothie, to support the prostate. I have also started to take Methylene Blue again, but this time I will just do with 1 drop in a glass of water a day. It equals 2.5 mg. I have only just started with Omega 3 and Krill oil, will have to see how that impacts the numbers, and I have just changed my diet from primarily being beef and pork, to be of fish and chicken. Latest info says it is counterproductive to eat beef and pork because of the acid levels. Coffee is something I am addicted to, but it has been cut to be a weekly joy, every Saturday only, and I plan to stay 100% off sugar. It is two of my biggest weaknesses, but I have also only been on Lactoferrin for a month, and usually it takes up to 3 months before results are seen.

On the physical side things are not so good. I sprained my ankle a week ago, and it still hurts if I do not have it elevated. It means running is no longer part of my efforts, and I need to find another way to keep my lymph nodes moving and my heart rate elevated.

So, all in all, I got my hopes up for a better result next time based on supplements, change of diet and the intermittent fasting.
