Result of MRI scan

When I in 2023 had the MRI scan done, I had to wait until I met with the oncologist, to get the answer. This time it was different, I got both the CD with the pictures and the report just 3 days later. But I still need to visit the oncologist to verify I understand the report correctly, because it was indeed good news for most part.

First of all, then the scan showed no sign of metastasis to any part of the body, that includes the lymph nodes. It was the same result I had in 2023, so considering more than 2 years has gone by, that is fantastic news. But not only that. I had a large tumor in the right side filling the gland almost to the brim, and in the left side a tumor of about half the size of the gland. This scan make no mention of the tumor in the left side. Is it a mistake? I think not, because the MD evaluating the pictures made a mention to my scan in 2023, so he knew that there used to be a tumor there. It is something I will need to verify when I got a meeting with the oncologist at the end of the month. But most certainly promising information.

On the less positive side the gland has grown a lot on the right side. In 2023 it was 33.7 mL as opposed to 57.0 mL now. It is an increase of almost 100%. Adding the fact, that in 2023 the gland had a smooth surface but now has mild bulging, then there might be a reason for concern.

When I added the data to AI it gave me the usual warnings that comes with a Gleason Score 9, but something caught my eye. The so-called density. It is a number found by dividing the PSA with the size of the gland. In 2023 the density number was 2.91 and this time it was 1.64. This could be a sign that the cancer has become less dangerous. But it does not take away from the fact that the gland has grown.

Final thought, I only got 2 scans, and the past 2.5 months I have seen some really interesting results reflected in the PSA, so the situation could have improved over these 2.5 months, which is not reflected in the result, because I did not have the scan before I started on my infamous smoothie and Fenbendazole and Ivermectin. So all in all, very interesting days, and overall I am happy with the result. Next PSA is going to say a lot more about the direction things are going.
